The Studio

The Nano Brow technique takes Microblading to the next level and offers more precise, longer lasting, uber-realistic eyebrows.

The technique uses a tiny flexible needle and an advanced digital pigmentation machine to “tattoo” thin precise ‘hair strokes’ onto the skin that mimic natural brow hair. The technique is a less invasive procedure than microblading, which is a manual technique of “carving” pigment into the skin via a manual, hand-held tool.

Nano Needling is the newest trend in micro-pigmentation and quickly achieving more popularity than Microblading due to the less invasive nature and superior healed results. The pigment used in this procedure is a semi-permanent pigment (similar to those used in microblading) and although implanted deeper into the skin for better results, a lifetime commitment is not required. Results will last longer than those of Microblading (up to 3-5 years opposed to 9-15 months) and require fewer touch-ups but will fade over time allowing for trend/shape modifications as they arise.

The Nano Needling technique is an advanced skill within the realm of micro-pigmentation also known as cosmetic tattooing and permanent makeup. This treatment is essentially a form of tattooing however differs somewhat to a traditional permanent, artistic tattoo.

This is the ultimate brow treatment. It offers the best of both ‘powdered’ and ‘hair strokes’ effects combined together to achieve a beautifully natural yet defined brow. The inner brow is feathered with hair strokes while the tails are powdered to achieve the perfect definition. Hair strokes are also added around the outer line of the arch to soften the powdered tails.

Also known as Powder Brows/Shaded Brows. An artistic shading technique is used to create a misty, powder filled brow resembling the look of makeup application. The tails of the brow are darker and more solid, and as you move towards the front of the brow it starts to fade into a misty more transparent finish.

The latest must-have treatment – An advanced procedure using a combination of lining, shading & blending techniques using different shades of colours, giving the lips a 3D effect & resulting in the appearance of fuller more symmetrical lips whilst adding a deeper natural colour to have them looking their best everyday.

This procedure is meant to be a subtle natural enhancement but can be as natural or as bold as the individual client prefers.

Microblading is a MANUAL method of cosmetic tattooing or micropigmentation. It is performed using a fine, sterile hand tool to deposit pigment into the epidermis. The tool is dipped into pigment which is then implanted into the skin by way of superficial cuts. This method is ideal for anyone wanting to enhance the look of his or her eyebrows.

The results are natural looking, hair-like strokes, regardless of the amount of natural brow hair present. Microblading is a multiple-step appointment process. The initial appointment and a “Perfecting Session/Touch-up”. This session will take place approximately 4-6 weeks after the initial procedure to perfect the shape, color, and density of the brows. Some may choose to have additional Touch-Ups in the future to achieve desired results.

Scalp micropigmentation, commonly called SMP, is a nonsurgical treatment that uses microneedles (sometimes called nano needles) to embed dots of pigment into the scalp, to mimic the appearance of real hair follicles that have just been shaved. It works by making thinning hair—even long hair—look fuller or creating the illusion of a full head of hair with a buzz cut, on a fully or partially bald head.

Think of the treatment as a hair tattoo. It’s like microblading, another form of cosmetic pigmentation, though microblading uses a manual blade and SMP requires an electric tattoo-like device. While some providers advertise the results as temporary, since they can fade after a few years, scalp micropigmentation is considered permanent.

The degree of fading over time depends on the individual and the quality of pigment used. Scalp micropigmentation treatment can work well for people who have lost hair from alopecia areata, aging, male- and female-pattern baldness, hormonal conditions, or cancer. It can fill in a receding hairline or bald patches, make thin hair (including around the temples) look fuller, and hide scars from a hair transplant surgery or injury.

One week before your initial appointment, moisturize your scalp 3 to 4 times a day in the areas that will be pigmented. This will ensure your scalp is in the best possible condition and hydrated in which will allow the pigment to be properly absorbed. If your skin is oily then do not moisturize.

  • Too much oil in the skin is just as bad as the skin being too dry.
  • One week before change to a gentle, non-abrasive shampoo.
  •  Shave your head with a razor blade 2 or 3 days before your procedure or If you use clippers choose a size #0 guard the day of your procedure.
  • Do Not use a razor on your scalp within 24 hours of the scheduled procedure. It is critical that we see all natural hair in order to properly blend the hair follicles.
  • Do Not take Fish Oil or Aspirin 1 week before unless prescribed by a doctor.
  • Do Not tan. Avoid direct sunlight to avoid burning and peeling of the skin.
  • Do Not drink alcohol or consume drugs 48 hours before your procedure.
  • Do Not wear any hair pieces the week before.

Redness and irritation are normal for 1 to 3 days.

A tiny wound is created in the skin when each microdot of pigment is applied. A scab heals over the wound, and eventually falls away. The scabbing process typically is 5 to 7 days, but for some it can last up to 14 days.

Do Not peel or pick at scabs. Let it fall off by itself. Do Not wet the scab to help it come off.

Picking and pulling off skin that is not ready to be removed or come off will cause pigment loss and can pull out deeper tissue.

Do Not touch or rub the procedure area. Bacteria lives on the surface of your skin and can enter your bloodstream and cause a bacterial infection. Keep It Clean!

Do Not expose the area to full pressure of the shower for at least 10 days. You do not want the water to beat on the pigmented area. The water will cause swelling and moisture and remove
the scabs.

Do Not expose the procedure to direct sunlight. It can have an impact on the color and size of the replicated hair follicles.

Do Not apply styling products for at least 10 days.

Do Not use anything on your scalp that contains alcohol 10 days.

Do Not do any strenuous activity for a minimum of 10 days. You want to avoid sweating and swelling at all costs. Increased blood pressure and dilated blood vessels increases swelling and oozing. Sweat will expand your pores and this swells the tissues and allows the body to absorb more of the ink pigment. If you exercise and or sweat you can expect your results to fade significantly. Swelling and sweat fades ink!
